From launching Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd. in 1985 to becoming one of the country’s most trusted financial institutions today, it’s been quite a journey.

Jayasankar Venkataraman is Managing Director & Co-CEO and a Whole Time Director at Kotak Investment Banking. He joined the Kotak Mahindra Group in 1994 and has worked across capital markets, private equity and M&A. He has advised and raised equity for companies in leading conglomerate groups, including Reliance, Aditya Birla, Godrej, HDFC, Mahindra & Mahindra, State Bank and the Tatas.
A capital markets veteran, he played a key role in building Kotak Investment Banking's leadership in equity capital markets across IPOs, follow-ons and blocks. The firm's equity business has consistently ranked No. 1 in league tables. He has worked on several pioneering, industry-defining transactions, and companies and stakeholders in India's equity markets often turn to him for advice.
He holds a B.Tech from IIT Madras and a PGDBM from IIM Bangalore.

S. Sriniwasan (Srini) is Managing Director of Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, where he helped build asset classes across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Special Situations & Credit, Private Equity and Investment Advisory, with ~USD 9.3 billion raised or advised. Earlier, he co‑headed Kotak Investment Banking during the Goldman Sachs JV era. Srini is active across CII, APREA, GRI, IVCA and EMPEA councils. He holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. Could you please change teh last few lines as under
Srini serves on several Industry forums and policy advisory committees of SEBI and GIFT city regulators in addition to being the Vice Chairman of Indian Venture and Alternative Capital Association.

Nilesh Shah is Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company, where he has led his team to many recognitions, including Best Fund House of the Year. He serves as Part‑Time Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India, Part‑Time Member of UIDAI, member of the Insurance Advisory Council and on AMFI’s Board among other policy committees. He is widely regarded as a capital markets thought leader.

Kotak Mahindra Capital Company (KMCC)
Sourav Mallik is Managing Director & Co-CEO and a Member of the Board at Kotak Investment Banking, where he has led the growth of the firm's investment banking business. He joined Kotak in 1999 and is a member of the Kotak Leadership Group.
He has over 31 years of investment banking experience. He advises Indian corporates, financial sponsors and multinational companies on M&A, capital raising, deal structuring, restructuring and valuations, for both domestic and cross-border deals. His landmark transactions include ING Vysya's merger with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tech Mahindra's acquisition of Satyam, the Birlasoft–KPIT Technologies merger-demerger, and Glenmark's divestment to Nirma. He has also advised on Infosys' buybacks and S&P's open offer for Crisil.
He served on SEBI's Takeover Regulations Advisory Committee, which shaped the current Takeover Regulations for Indian listed companies. He is an engineer from IIT Delhi and holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.

Mahesh Balasubramanian is Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Limited, with over two decades of entrepreneurial and financial services experience. He expanded Cholamandalam’s vehicle finance in the West, co‑founded Apnaloan.com and at Kotak built Retail Liabilities, Institutional and Government Business and co‑headed Branch Banking before becoming founder CEO of Kotak Mahindra General Insurance. Mahesh holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Management Studies.

Suraj Rajappan has been appointed for a term of three years, effective June 1, 2026. With a strong background in retail lending, auto finance, and business transformation, he brings 24 years of cross‑functional experience across Kotak Prime. He is responsible for driving the company’s strategic growth, strengthening its market position, and expanding its portfolio in vehicle financing solutions.

Shripal Shah is Managing Director & CEO of Kotak Securities, driving organizational transformation and digital innovation. He established the startup investment division, earlier led commodity brokerage and arbitrage at Kotak Commodity Services and served as Head of Operations at Kotak Securities. Shripal is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and Law graduate and contributes to committees of exchanges and industry bodies.

Amit Bagri is the CEO and MD of Kotak Mahindra Investments Ltd. (KMIL), an NBFC offering services in secured lending, real estate finance, strategic investments, advisory, and asset management. Previously, he headed the Corporate & Global Clients division at ING Vysya Bank, building its multinational business segment. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad (PGDM, Finance) and Shri Ram College of Commerce (B.Com Hons), Amit specializes in lending, structured products, and investment strategies.
