Fair Usage Policy FUP for Cash Deposit/Withdrawal – Max non-chargeable limit – ₹5 lakh per month
All return charges are for financial reasons. Returns due to technical reasons are not charged.
Post FUP, regular charges will be applicable.
1. Standard charges are same as the charges mentioned for Kotak811 Digital Account.
2. Cash withdrawal limit for other bank ATM is ₹10,000 per transaction. Top 6 Cities – Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru & Hyderabad.
3. Financial transaction at ATM= Cash withdrawal, non-financial transaction = Balance enquiry, PIN change, mini statement request.
4. W.e.f 1st July 2020; threshold as well as Rate of TDS applicable for CASH withdrawal will be dependent on submission of proof of Income Tax Return filed. Revised TDS rates will be as under:

5. Transaction and value-added SMS alerts would be sent to the customers who have subscribed for daily/weekly balance alerts facility. Alerts that have been mandated by RBI as well as alerts which are deemed appropriate by the Bank, will be sent free of charge, even if daily/weekly balance SMS alerts facility has not been subscribed.
6. Indo–Nepal Remittance Scheme (NEFT Charges): If beneficiary maintains an account with Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. (NSBL): ₹25 per txn (incl all taxes). If beneficiary does not maintain an account with Nepal SBI Bank Ltd (NSBL): Up to ₹5,000 – ₹75 per txn & beyond ₹5,000 – ₹100 per txn (incl. all taxes). Nil charges for NEFT done through mobile banking / net banking.
7. We levy debit card issuance and annual charges in advance. If a debit card expires during the year, annual charges will be applicable on a pro-rate basis for the number of months the card is transaction ready.
Terms & Conditions
a. Differential pricing may be offered in corporate offerings as per business discretion. We encourage you to contact your account representative for detailed information on eligibility and any potential charges. Terms and conditions apply.
b. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markup fee of 1% plus GST will be applicable on Kotak Bank Debit Cards w.e.f. Nov 01, 2024. DCC markup fee will be applicable on all ATM, POS/ In-store or Online transactions.
a. Transactions done in Indian currency (₹) at international locations
b. Transactions done in Indian currency (₹) with merchants located in India but registered in an international location.
c. In case, you hold multiple Kotak Debit Cards with the same card type (the first 6 digits of the card can be checked to understand if two debit cards are from the same card type). Each card type (not each card holding) will have its own monthly free ATM withdrawal limit as per below table.
d. The Bank will charge cross-currency mark-up of 3.5% on foreign currency transactions carried out on debit cards. The exchange rate used will be the VISA/Master Card wholesale exchange rate prevailing at the time of transaction.
e. Charge of 1% on the transaction amount + GST will be applicable on cash withdrawal transactions done at merchant outlets
f. Charges are exclusive of the Goods and Service Tax (GST). With effect from July 1, 2017, the effective Goods and Service tax rate will be 18% on taxable value. The GST rate is subject to change from time to time. State government taxes/cess as applicable shall be charged.
g. Any rejections in applications made through ASBA mode due to insufficient funds will attract charges of ₹ 350/- per rejection.
h. Additional charges levied by another bank on international ATM transactions will also have to be borne by the card holder. The above charges are subject to revision with a prior intimation of 30 days to all account holders – DC Charges are inclusive of all taxes.
i. Closure of account due to revision of charges will not be subject to account closure charges.
j. Average Cumulative Deposits (ACD) refer to the average day-end balance maintained across savings account, fixed deposit, recurring deposit, and activ money during a calendar month; sample transactions that may trigger alerts on your account include UPI/NEFT/RTGS/IMPS transfers, ATM withdrawals, cash transactions, cheque deposits, debit card usage, and more.
k. Coin Deposit charges: "Nil Charges" up to deposit value of ₹50; Beyond ₹50 per instance, 5% on entire amount of coins deposited will be charged. Low Denomination Charges: 0.5% of the value above ₹5,000 deposit per instance; Only ₹10 and ₹20 notes will be considered.
l. SMS Alerts & Updates: mandatory alerts will not be charged
m. Debit Card Transaction Eligibility: Five free transactions (inclusive of financial and non-financial transactions) every month from own bank ATMs. From other bank ATMs (inclusive of financial and non-financial transactions) free three transactions per month in metro centres and five transactions in non-metro centres.
n. Top 6 Cities: Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad

q. If PAN is not updated in the account, then the TDS deduction at the rate 20% as per section 206AA of the Income Tax Act will apply.
r. All charges are subject to revision with an intimation of 30 days to account holders. Currently, no charges are applicable for account closure. This is subject to change at the sole discretion of the Bank, in accordance with its prevailing policies.
s. TDS for Resident Individuals / HUF / Corporate Entity / Partnership Firms is 10% and in the absence of PAN, it is 20%
